Free DHTML scripts provided by Faith- and service-based organizations working together to rebuild our communityThe 2004 hurricane season brought undue devastation on Charlotte County, Florida. Representatives from local faith- and service- based organizations banded together to develop a non-profit corporation to serve as the long-term disaster recovery group for Charlotte County. Our goal was to help residents rebuild their homes and lives after the 2004 hurricane season, especially after Hurricane Charley. We succeeded in helping hundreds of local residents. We assessed their hurricane-related needs and guided them on their path to recovery.Volunteers from all over America were recruited and coordinated to make the needed repairs, rebuilding our community one family at a time.Dozens of faith-based, service-based, non-profit and government agencies in Charlotte County are represented through IINCC’s (pronounced "ink") efforts. As of the Summer of 2007, we are "standing down" until the next disaster, having completed the projects we were tasked with. While we do not have an active staff, our Board of Directors meet regularly to ensure we are prepared for the next disaster. (Statistics and updates will be included in this site hopefully by the end of 2007!)
IINCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
